On Saturday, February 1, a Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy discovered two trucks fully engulfed in flames near the entrance of a Denmark Township property. The property owner, 74-year-old William “Ike” Eickholt, was missing.
The following morning, on February 2, Ike was found deceased along Ravenna Trail in Hastings, near the Vermillion River bridge. He had suffered a single gunshot wound to the head, and his death was ruled to be a homicide by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.
Detectives believe a vehicle may have stopped along the 2000 block of Ravenna Trail between 2 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, and 9:50 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 2.

On the evening of January 19, 1988, 19-year-old Susan Swedell vanished during a blizzard in Lake Elmo, MN.
After finishing her shift at K-Mart in Oak Park Heights, Susan stopped at a gas station while experiencing car trouble. She left her car at the gas station and was seen getting into an older-model sedan, possibly a late-1970s Ford LTD with a white man who had shoulder-length sandy-brown hair and was wearing a waist length coat.
Susan Swedell has not been seen or heard from since that night. Her car, along with her purse was found the next morning at the gas station (now the site of a Holiday Station) on the outskirts of Lake Elmo. This case remains open and active. It has been 18 years since Michael Ammann, a resident of Lino Lakes, Minnesota, went missing on March 23, 2007. His disappearance has left family and friends deeply concerned, with his loved ones actively seeking information to help determine his whereabouts.
A dedicated Facebook page titled "Help find Mike Ammann" serves as a platform to share updates, gather information, and rally community support in the search for Michael. The page has garnered attention, with posts highlighting the duration of his absence and the ongoing efforts to locate him.




Law enforcement is investigating a hit-and-run that claimed the life of Dr. Cathy Donovan while she was walking her dogs along Highway 169, south of Grand Casino, around 5 p.m. on November 13, 2023.
