On Thursday, January 26, 2012, at approximately 11 a.m., a bank robbery occurred at North Star Bank which is located at 1820 North Lexington Avenue, Roseville, Minnesota. The robber, who was described as a white female, entered the bank and approached the teller counter. She handed the victim teller a note demanding cash. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled from the bank.

The robber was described as a white female, approximately 5’4” in height, with a thin build. She was wearing a three-quarter length coat, blue jeans, a dark “hoodie” sweatshirt over a dark cap with a brim, and dark fabric gloves. She was also described as having pale skin and a “facial bandage” which covered approximately 50 percent of her face.

On Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at approximately 10 a.m., a bank robbery occurred at a Wells Fargo Bank branch located at 1220 W. County Road E, in Arden Hills, Minnesota. The robber entered the bank and approached the teller counter with a note demanding cash. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled from the bank.

The robber is believed to be William R. St. John (pictured) described as a Native American male who stood approximately 5’7” in height with a medium build. He wore a large black coat and sunglasses. He is a native of South Dakota with friends in Fargo ND.

On Monday, January 2, 2012, at approximately 8:45 a.m., a bank robbery occurred at a U.S. Bank branch, located at 9633 Lyndale Avenue in Bloomington, Minnesota. The robber, believed to be William R. St. John, 43, entered the bank and approached the teller counter. After he was inside of the bank, he passed a note to the victim teller, demanding cash. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled from the bank on foot.

The robber St. John (pictured) is described as a white male, approximately 6’0” in height and is 43 years of age. He weighed approximately 220 lbs. He also wore a black leather jacket, a black t-shirt, and blue jeans. Is a native of South Dakota and has friends in the Frgo ND area.

The robber may also be responsible for a bank robbery which occurred in Fargo, North Dakota on December 31, 2011 at the Bank of the West. (see case and photo below)

On Saturday, December 31, 2011, at approximately 10:10 a.m., a bank robbery occurred at the Bank of the West, which is located at 3203 32nd Avenue South, Fargo, North Dakota. The robber entered the bank and approached the teller counter. After he was inside of the bank, he passed a note to the victim teller, demanding cash. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled from the bank on foot.

The robber (pictured) is believed to be William R. St. John a native of Saouth Dakota with friends in Fargo ND.  He is described as a5` 10" tall, age 43 and wore a black leather jacket and a black t-shirt. The robber also wore a diamond earring in his left ear. Additionally, the St. John may be traveling in a gold, Chevrolet Malibu with South Dakota license plates.

On Thursday, December 29, 2011, at approximately 4:27 p.m., a bank robbery occurred at the Bremer Bank, located at 3001 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota. The robber approached a bank teller and demanded cash. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled on foot.

The robber (pictured) was described as a white male, tan or ruddy complexion, approximately 6 feet tall, small mustache, approximately 40 years old. The robber wore a grey stocking cap and glasses. The robber also wore a grey sweat shirt but discarded the shirt after the robbery. Following the robbery, the suspect is believed to have changed into a blue polo shirt.

On Thursday, December 29, 2011, at approximately 5:30 p.m., a bank robbery occurred at the Glenwood State Bank, located at 2221 South Broadway Street, Alexandria, Minnesota. The robber approached the bank tellers and demanded cash. The robber held a small handgun. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled from the bank.

The robber (pictured) wore a green zip-up waist-length jacket and a multicolored stocking hat over a dark colored ski mask. He also wore blue jeans and dark-colored gloves. He was as a male, appeared to be white, approximately 6’ tall, and age unknown.

On Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at approximately 5:30 p.m., a bank robbery occurred at the First National Bank, located at 1400 Frontage Road North, Hastings, Minnesota. The robber approached bank tellers and demanded cash. A black handgun was displayed and the robber verbally threatened the bank tellers. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled from the bank.

The robber`s face and hands were fully covered. He (pictured) wore a black and red coat, a winter-style hat with ear flaps, old blue jeans, and black shoes. He was further described as a male, approximately 5’10” to 6’ feet tall, race unknown, and age unknown.

The robber approached a bank teller and demanded cash. No weapon was displayed. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled from the bank.

The robber (pictured) was described as a white male, very tan, unshaven, square glasses, 5’10”-6’ foot tall, wearing a grey hooded jacket with a zipper in the front, blue jeans and white shoes. The robber’s clothing was dirty, and he had very dirty hands.

The robber (pictured) was described as a white male, early to mid-20s, 6’ tall, 180-200 lbs., medium build, wearing a red and black two-tone jacket, light colored pants, black shoes or boots, black face mask, and black gloves.

The robber, who was described as a white male, entered the bank and approached the teller counter with a handgun. The robber demanded and received cash from the victim teller. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled from the bank.

The robber (pictured) was described as a white male in his mid 30s. He stood approximately 6’0” in height and had a medium build. He wore a black mask, a khaki jacket, a grey cap, black gloves, and blue jeans. The robber also brandished a small handgun during the robbery. The FBI believes the serial robber nicknamed “the man in black” to be responsible for this robbery.

On Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at approximately 4:20 p.m., a bank robbery occurred at a Premier Bank branch located at 500 98th Street West, Bloomington, Minnesota. The robber, who was described as a white male, entered the bank and approached the teller counter with a handgun. The robber demanded and received cash from the victim teller. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled from the bank.

The robber (pictured) was described as a white male who stood approximately 5’5” to 5’8” in height, with dark eyes. He wore a black ski mask, a black cotton jacket and brandished a handgun during the robbery. The FBI believes this robbery was committed by the “Man in Black” serial robber who has committed several robberies in the Twin Cities Metropolitan area.

As reward of $25,000 - separate from that of Crime Stoppers of Minnesota - is being offered by the Minnesota Bankers Association for information that leads to an arrest.

The robber submitted the demand note to the victim teller, indicating he had a gun. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber requested his note back from the victim teller and fled from the bank.

The robber was described as a white male who stood approximately 5’9” in height, who was in his mid to late 20s. He had a thin build and wore large sunglasses and a long black jacket with a hood.

On Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at approximately 5:10 p.m., a bank robbery occurred at a TCF Bank branch in a Cub Foods store, located at 2850 S. 26th Avenue in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The robber entered the store, walked over to the TCF Bank area and wrote a demand for cash on a deposit slip. After waiting in line with other customers, the robber handed the note to a teller and displayed a handgun. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled from the store.

The robber (pictured) was described as a black male, who was in his early 20s. He stood approximately 6’ in height and weighed approximately 180 lbs. The robber wore a black hooded sweatshirt, dark, “aviator style” sunglasses, and dark pants.
